MARION, IL (KFVS) - The Illinois Free Fishing Days will be held in observance of National Fishing Week.

Anyone wanting to try fishing can do so without a state fishing license from June 7 through June 10 in Illinois.  During this time period Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge will not require Entrance and Recreation Fees for anyone fishing on refuge waters.

National Fishing Week gives millions of Americans the opportunity to celebrate the joys of fishing. Organizers say they want to help the citizens of Illinois, especially the youth, learn more so they can experience the excitement and relaxation fishing offers.
