(KFVS) – Egyptian Electric Cooperative will be offering grants to schools in its service area in order to improve the learning environment and increase educational resources.
The co-op will be offering a total of six $500 Empowerment Grants to fund projects in schools.
School administrators or teachers must submit a grant application from the co-op’s website or by calling the co-op.
A panel of judges will determine which projects will be awarded grants up to $500 each.
The application should be mailed, emailed or faxed by December 4.
The awards will be announced December 18.
Egyptian Electric Cooperative is a member of Touchstone Energy, an alliance of more than 760 local, consumer-owned electric utilities around the country.
The co-op serves more than 14,750 members over 2,270 miles of line in parts of Jackson, Perry, Randolph, St. Clair, Washington and Williamson counties.
