WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Five American veterans were united with their service dogs Monday in Williamson County.
This Able Veteran Organization trains dogs and provides veterans service dogs to help improve the lives of those who have dealt with injuries.
The dogs help with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and support those with mobility issues.
"Each veteran has a different story; each has suffered in his or her own way after serving their country," said This Able Veteran Owner Behesha Doan in a news release.
Veterans feel the dogs improve their health.
For the veterans, it was a life changing moment to become happier and healthier with their canine companion.
