CARTERVILLE, IL (KFVS)- A fire Monday night in Carterville, Illinois created two very different problems for people in that city.

The fire broke out around 6:20 p.m. Monday night at CTE Telco located at 113 South Division Street.

Flames and smoke could be seen billowing out of the building.  The fire was so big that Carterville firefighters called in help from surrounding fire departments.

Crews ended up shutting down the street, making it difficult to get around Carterville.

After about four hours of battling the fire, crews ran into their second problem, low water pressure.

Fire crews said water pressure in the tower was low making it hard to put out the fire.  So crews from Rend Lake ended up feeding fire crews water so they could battle the fire.

Firefighters tried to prevent the fire from spreading to a barber shop and the city's water department.
