Ill. Rep. Bradley appointed Assistant House Majority Leader | News
MARION, IL (KFVS) - In recognition of his years of public service and commitment to representing Southern Illinois, State Rep. John Bradley (D-Marion) was selected to serve as an Assistant House Majority Leader in the Illinois House of Representatives.
“My new role is a great opportunity, because the state is facing historic challenges,” Bradley said. “Only by working together will we be able to address the myriad of problems we have been sent to Springfield to remedy. I am humbled that this is a first to our area.”
Since first joining the House of Representatives in 2003, Bradley has been an advocate of fiscal responsibility and unwavering in his commitment to the needs of underserved populations in downstate Illinois. Bradley remains focused on encouraging economic development and believes it is the key success. In that vein, Bradley regularly partners with local economic development leaders. He has also played a role in crafting landmark legislation on medical malpractice reform, the fight against methamphetamine, unemployment insurance reform and landowners’ rights.
“As the General Assembly works to resolve challenging issues in the months to come, I look forward to working for the betterment of my constituents and all Illinois residents,” continued Bradley.
