JOHNSTON CITY, IL (KFVS)- Police say a man was stabbed during an altercation overnight at bar in Johnston City.
According to Johnston City Police Chief Vernon Campbell, it happened at 1:50 a.m. at Maddie's Pub and Grill on Route 37.
According to Chief Campbell, Stewart C. Lasswell was involved in an altercation at the bar and received a stab wound to the left area of his chest, below the heart.
He was taken to Herrin Hospital for treatment and later airlifted to a St. Louis hospital.
Edward E. Serna, Jr., 33, of Hurst, was charged with aggravated battery and taken to the Williamson County Jail.
