MARION, IL (KFVS)- A second man has been arrested in connection with the 2011 shooting death of a man at a Marion bar.
Tyree M. Neal, 25, of Marion was arrested on a weapons possession related violations charge.
He was arrested by Herrin police and taken to the Williamson County Jail on $300,000 bond on Oct. 11, 2012.
Marion
police say Dominique Smith, 25, of Marion was arrested in Jackson
County in September 2012 by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group.
Smith is charged with first degree murder, according to Jimmy Dean with the Williamson County State's Attorney's Office.
Smith was wanted in connection to the 2011 homicide of Marcus Monroe at a bar in Marion.
Marcus
Monroe, 46, was injured in a shooting at PIPS2 bar at 307 W. Boyton
Street on July 8, 2011. He later died at an Evansville, Indiana
hospital.
Smith was taken to the Williamson County Jail. His bond was set at $1 million.
