Construction work continues at the Interstate 57 and Illinois Route 13 interchange | News

MARION, IL (KFVS)- The construction work
continues at the Interstate 57 and Illinois Route 13 interchange in Marion. And it's not going to be
done anytime soon.

According to IDOT, once
the project is complete, the old north and south bound bridges on Interstate 57
will be replaced and the exit and entrance ramps at the interchange re-routed.

Illinois Route 13 will
also be widened out to three lanes for both the westbound and eastbound
traffic.

The bridge work on the
interstate is scheduled to be completed by July 2013.

And the rest of the work
is scheduled to be wrapped up in July 2014.
