Galatia, Illinois man killed in I-57 crash | News

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS)- A Saline County man was killed in a crash on Interstate 57 in Williamson County.
The fatal crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday on I-57 at mile marker 55 in Williamson County.
According to Illinois State Police, Monty J. Parks, 46, of Galatia, Illinois was northbound on I-57 when his Dodge Ram pickup left the roadway and went into the center median.
Crash investigators say the truck then spun counterclockwise once and traveled northeast toward the northbound lanes before starting to roll over.
Troopers say Parks was ejected from the truck during the rollover. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to crash investigators.
No other vehicles were involved.
The crash investigation continues.
Illinois State Police Dist. 13, Marion Fire Department, Williamson County Fire Protection District, Lifeline Ambulance and Williamson County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene.
Troopers say the northbound lanes were shut down for around three hours.
