IDOT to work on IL 13, Greenbriar Rd. intersection | News

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert drivers traveling on Illinois Route 13 and Greenbriar Road, west of Carterville of some upcoming turn restrictions at this intersection.
According to IDOT, beginning Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m.:
- Eastbound IL 13 will have two lanes open at all times. Left turn onto Greenbriar Road will not be allowed
- Westbound IL 13 will have two lanes open at all times. Left turn toward Crab Orchard Lake will not be allowed
- Southbound Greenbriar Road limited to "right turn only" onto westbound IL 13
IDOT says all right turn movements will be allowed at the intersection. Weather permitting, this intersection is expected to re-open late Sunday evening.
To avoid any delay motorists may choose to use an alternate route. They ask that drivers please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones.
