Miners to battle Freedom for championship | News
(KFVS)- The Southern Illinois Miners and the Florence Freedom will begin their battle for the Frontier League Championship Wednesday September 12.
The Miners beat the Traverse City Beach Bums in their division on Saturday night to wrap up a series sweep.
The Freedom took the series three games to two against the Gateway Grizzlies on Monday night.
This is both the Miners and the Freedom's first time heading to the championship series.
They split their games during the regular series evenly 3-3.
Game one will begin Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. CST in Florence, KY.
