Carterville under boil water order | Health

CARTERVILLE, IL (KFVS) - The City of Carterville Water and Sewer Department has issued a boil order notice for Tuesday, October 30.

The city says due to a water main break, all Carterville customers will be under a boil water order for at least 48 hours. Water to be used for drinking and cooking purposes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least five minutes before use.

According to John A. Logan College, they have closed for the day as of 11 a.m. due to the boil order. Carterville Unit 5 says they are also closing because of the water main break.
