The Pavillion in Marion to host exhibit 'Art & Soul' | Events

MARION, IL (KFVS) - The Pavilion of the City of Marion, in coordination with the Little Egypt Arts Association (LEAA) has an exhibit entitled 'Art & Soul' through December.

The Pavilion is located on 50 acres behind the Illinois Star Centre Mall in Marion, just a mile from I-57, and serves the Tri-State Region.

Organizers say over 30 pieces of artwork with subjects ranging from patriotic themes to wildlife and floral are on display.  Paintings, photography, and fiber highlight the work of artists from DeSoto, Eldorado, Goreville, Lake of Egypt, Marion, and West Frankfort.  Holiday wreaths will also be on display in the near future.

LEAA is also holding its annual Holiday Extravaganza exhibit from November 8-December 31 at the Arts Centre in Marion.

Organizers say this exhibit includes artwork,  photos, jewelry, fiber pieces and more. These works are for sale at  reasonable prices, so they are perfect for holiday gift giving.

This show will be on the South wall, while Kris Killman will be having a solo show on the north wall in November.

Patty Morrison and Missy Carstens will be holding their annual two woman show, "Changes" on the north wall during December.
