Gun rights meeting to be held in Marion | Events
MARION, IL (KFVS) - State Senator Gary Forby (D-Benton) will host a gun rights meeting at 8 p.m. on September 13 at the Operators Local 318 Office located at 3310 Water Tower in Marion.
The goal of the meeting is to update gun owners about new efforts to pass concealed-carry legislation in Illinois and pending lawsuits to strike down anti-gun laws.
"I am confident that we will be able to pass a concealed-carry bill in the Senate during the upcoming legislative session," Forby said. "I have been working hard to convince other members in the Senate to support a bill and I think we may finally have the numbers."
Also speaking at the meeting will be Todd Vandermyde, the National Rifle Association lobbyist in Illinois.
This meeting is open to the public.
