Southern Illinois Miners reschedule fireworks shows | Events
MARION, IL (KFVS) - The Southern Illinois Miners say due to the city of Marion's ban on fireworks in the interest of public safety, they will reschedule their 4th of July fireworks shows.
The new scedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, July 3rd – The fireworks show will be rescheduled on another Two for Tuesday after the ban is lifted;
- Wednesday, July 4th – The fireworks show is tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, August 11th;
- Thursday, July 5th – The fireworks show will be rescheduled on another Extreme Theme Thursday after the ban is lifted.
On these three nights (July 3-5) the Miners will allow fans to go onto the field following the game with their families to join the players and watch a fireworks show synchronized to music on the video board. They say they will continue to offer the military discount for each of these three games.
Fans who already bought their tickets for any of these three games may use their tickets for the game or they may exchange them for the rescheduled fireworks games once the new dates are established, subject to availability.
