MARION, IL (KFVS) - The Marion Police Department says two suspects are facing charges after several vehicles burglarized at a movie theatre on January 20.

Joseph B. Barnaby, 23, and Richard G. Kipping, 20, both of Marion, Illinois, were taken into custody on January 23 and charged for their involvement.

A further investigation has resulted in the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office issuing additional charges against Barnaby and Kipping for their involvement vehicle burglaries at the AMC Centre 8.

Both Barnaby and Kipping were taken to the Williamson County Jail.

Police say they responded to the report around 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20 at the AMC Centre 8's parking lot. When they arrived, police say they talked to seven separate victims who had their vehicles broken into.

According to police, the suspect(s) damaged six out of the seven vehicles by breaking one of the windows, most likely to gain entry. They say say six of the seven victims also reported property items missing from inside their vehicles. Most of the property reported stolen consisted of purses/wallets and small electronic items.
