Herrin mom pleads guilty to criminal neglect of daughter | Crime

HERRIN, IL (KFVS) - A Herrin mom admitted she did not do enough to properly care for her disabled adult daughter.

Vicky Ward, 58, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of criminal neglect of a person with a disability.

A spokesman from the Williamson County State's Attorney's Office says Ward failed to perform acts necessary to maintain the health of her 32-year-old daughter.

That spokesman says Ward received four years of conditional discharge, which means she must follow the rules of the court for that period of time.
