ENERGY, IL (KFVS) - The Energy Police Department is investigating a late night or early morning business burglary.
Police say over the past weekend, late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, two Energy businesses and a vehicle were broken into. They say Energy Culvert Company was forcefully entered and various items were taken including a laptop computer case and cash.
They say Get Nailed nail salon was also forcefully entered and various containers and other items were taken.
Within 48 hours, police say they had found and interviewed a suspect and have now recovered most of the missing items.
Energy police say a Herrin police detective helped with the collection of evidence potentially linking the suspect to the crime scenes. They say the name of the suspect will be released pending further investigation, processing of evidence and consultation with the state's attorney. Police say charges are pending.
