Friends of Herrin City Library reschedule monthly book sale, hold 'Holiday Book Sale' | Community Spirit

HERRIN, IL (KFVS) - The Friends of the Herrin City Library reschedules their regular monthly book sale.
Instead on the sale being on Monday, Nov. 26, the group says they will be having a special Holiday Sale on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Monday, Dec. 3. The Saturday Sale will be from noon to 6 p.m. and the Monday sale will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Holiday Sale will be held in the library’s “Tony Galines Memorial Meeting Room." The Friends will be offering like-new, second-hand books, paperbacks, videos, vinyl records, and other titles. They say many newer second-hand titles have been donated to the library and will be available in the Friends Holiday Sale. Prices range from $5 down to 50 cents. The Herrin City Library is located at 120 North 13th Street (at the intersection of East Monroe and 13th Street) in Herrin.

The Friends of the Herrin City Library was chartered back in April 1995 to support the services and activities of the Library. The Friends have raised over $65,000 through various fund-raising events which has been donated to the Herrin City Library to purchase more new titles, new equipment, and provide more services to the users of the library.
