Marion H.S. FBLA looking for businesses to participate in their American Enterprise Proj. | Business
MARION, IL (KFVS) - The Marion High School FBLA are looking for businesses to participate in their American Enterprise Project on November 26.
The group is looking to sign up area businesses and/or representatives to share information about their jobs, workplace, job skills, expectations, etc. in a casual environment at the school. They say the event will be set up like a monopoly board and students will move "around the board" interacting with the people at their table space, gathering information about not only the business, but how their system works.
The event will have designated areas for students to participate in mock interviews and demonstrations on how to dress for interviews.
The event model by the Marion FBLA will also be used for their conference competition at SIU, state competition at Springfield and hopefully in California next June.
The group says they have 12 area businesses registered so far. There is no cost for this event. It is estimated that about 300 students will rotate through the event which will be held in the gym.
Any area business interested in taking part is asked to contact Joni Barwick at the Marion Chamber of Commerce to reserve table space 618-997-6311.
