Walk-in immunization clinics available in August

Walk-in immunization clinics available in August

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Franklin Williamson Bi-County Health Department will offer walk-in immunization clinics every Wednesday in August.

The clinics will be every Wednesday in August from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with no appointment needed.

The Franklin County office is located at 403 East Park in Benton and the Williamson County office is located at 8160 Express Drive in Marion.

If those days don't work, the Bi-County Health always gives immunizations by appointment at the Benton office on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-in late clinics are offered the first and third Tuesday of each month from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Immunizations at the Marion office are given by appointment on Mondays and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Walk-in late clinics are also offered the first and third Thursdays of each month from 4 p.m.

Williamson Co. cooling centers

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Keep Cool Illinois campaign has made over 120 facilities across the state into cooling centers. All cooling centers will be open during normal business hours; Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Williamson County cooling center is located at 1107 West DeYoung in Marion, Ill.

Other local cooling centers include:

  • Franklin County - 1602 North Main Street in Benton, Ill.
  • Jackson County - 342 North Street in Murphysboro, Ill.
  • Jefferson County - 333 Potomac Boulevard in Mt. Vernon, Ill.

ILLINOIS (KFVS) - The American Red Cross is still looking for blood donors.

The following blood drives will be in August in several areas around Southern Illinois.

Upcoming blood drives include:

  • Aug. 2 - American Legion Hall, 305 South Chester in Steeleville, Ill. from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Aug. 2 - Aldersgate Methodist Church, 1201 Fair Street in Marion, Ill. from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

MARION, IL (KFVS) - During the month of August, you can buy two tickets to a Miner's home game for the price of one on Tuesdays.

The Miners will play August 9 and August 23.

MARION, IL (KFVS) - The finale of the fifth homestead of the season and another winning Monday wil be Monday, August 1.

If the Miners beat the Florence Freedom, everyone in attendance will get a voucher to a future Miners home game. You can also play Baseball Bingo.

MARION, IL (KFVS) - Kid's Club Sunday at Rent One Park will feature Craft Day on Sunday, July 31.

Young Miners fans will be able to create their own Miners hat. It will also be Car Show night.

The Miners will be playing Florence Freedom again at 7:05 p.m.
