WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Friends of Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge will host its annual clean up day on Saturday, September 17th.
The clean up will take place from 8 a.m. Until 12 p.m. at the Prairie Creek Recreation Area. That's about a mile and a half west of John A. Logan College on the south side of Route 13.
It's in support of National Public Lands Day.
The first 100 volunteers that register will get a free t-shirt. There are a few canoes available to use to pick up shoreline trash, so if you'd like to do that, you should come early.
Volunteers are encouraged to register for the clean up no later than Monday, September 12th.
